A Maverick month with heart!

October is a big month for Julietta's short films!

Sam's Gold is an official selection at the Academy Awards accredited Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis!

And Julietta's film Safe has been nominated for a total of five awards including Best Picture, Best Direction, Best Cinematography (Jeremy Rouse) and Best Actress (Adrienne Pickering) at the Maverick Movie Awards in New York!

Moviemaker Magazine calls the Maverick Movie Awards 'the Indie Spirit Awards of true indie filmmakers' and the goal of the Awards 'is to help talented moviemakers achieve the recognition they deserve by awarding movies with unique style, exceptional craft, and the power to communicate'.

Safe will also screen in competition this month at the Pune Short Film Festival in India this month.

Julietta has been awarded one of three Travel Fellowships to the Perth Revelation International Film Festival!

Safe continues its marathon festival run by being selected for the New Hope Film Festival in  Pennsylvania, USA. The Festival Chairman and CEO had these lovely words to say about Safe in an email to Julietta: ' We're honored to exhibit your film at New Hope Film Festival! The judges have been raving about the quality of your work, and in fact one is so hooked, she's watched it a number of times.' A very good start to 2013!

Fun all 'round!

Safe picks up Best Sound Design at the Canberra Short Film Festival and will soon screen in St Louis! The Branch has been selected to screen at Sandfly Film Festival and Sam's Gold is offered international distribution before the film even premieres!

A trip to Italy!

Two of Julietta's short films, Safe and The Branch have been selected to screen at Salento International Film Festival in Italy!

Julietta's work has picked up two awards at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. Safe was awarded a Platinum Remi Award and The Branch a Gold Remi in the category of Dramatic-Original shorts.

SAFE will continue its festival run- having been selected to screen at WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival and the 2012 Shorts Film Festival Adelaide; who called the film ‘a great original story’.
